We are a group of Christians who love God first and each other as ourselves (Matthew 25:36). We believe that the
Bible is the inerrant word of God. The authority for everything we do comes from God's word. Our aim is to speak where the Bible speaks and be silent where it is silent. Our goal is to preach the gospel to every creature; baptize into Christ all those who are willing to repent of their sins and confess Christ before men. We then welcome them as our brethren while continuing to teach them to observe all that Christ commanded.
Our leaders consist of three elders (also called pastors, bishops, shepherds) and eight deacons. Their qualifications are found in Titus 1:5-9 and 1 Timothy 3:1-13.
The primary responsibility of the minister (also called evangelist or preacher) is to teach and preach the word of God.
(2 Timothy 4:2)
The congregation at Skaggs has a long and rich history. Many Christians have worked hard and invested their time and money to make it a shinning light in our community.
